Product Description

UNS N10276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with the addition of tungsten, widely recognized as the most versatile corrosion-resistant alloy available today. It exhibits exceptional resistance to a wide range of aggressive media, including strong oxidizing and reducing acids, chlorides, and wet chlorine gas.
Unlike many corrosion-resistant alloys, UNS N10276 retains excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition, requiring no post-weld heat treatment. This makes it the industry standard for chemical processing, pollution control, and other severe service applications where both corrosion resistance and fabricability are critical.

Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of UNS N10276 complies with ASTM B575, B574, and B622 standards. The extremely low carbon content (≤0.01%) distinguishes UNS N10276 from earlier C-type alloys.

ElementContent (%)Role
Nickel (Ni)Balance (≥52%)Provides SCC resistance and austenitic stability
Chromium (Cr)14.5 – 16.5Enhances oxidation and corrosion resistance
Molybdenum (Mo)15.0 – 17.0Provides resistance to reducing acids and pitting
Tungsten (W)3.0 – 4.5Further enhances localized corrosion resistance
Iron (Fe)4.0 – 7.0Improves metallurgical stability
Cobalt (Co)≤ 2.5Residual element
Manganese (Mn)≤ 1.00Aids in hot workability
Vanadium (V)≤ 0.35Trace element
Silicon (Si)≤ 0.08Improves oxidation resistance (controlled to a low level)
Carbon (C)≤ 0.01Key feature – prevents intergranular attack
Phosphorus (P)≤ 0.04Minimized to maintain ductility
Sulfur (S)≤ 0.03Controlled for hot workability

Actual mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) available per batch.
