Mit einem höheren Chromgehalt als C-276 und kontrollierten Zusätzen von Wolfram bietet diese Legierung eine hervorragende Beständigkeit gegen Lochfraß, Spaltkorrosion und Spannungsrisskorrosion in aggressiven Umgebungen.

UNS N06022 bietet hervorragende Leistung in feuchten Chlor-, Salzsäure-, Schwefelsäure- und gemischten Säurelösungen, wo viele andere korrosionsbeständige Legierungen versagen. Es behält hervorragende mechanische Eigenschaften bei kryogenen Temperaturen bis zu 480 °C (900 °F) bei und lässt sich problemlos mit industriellen Standardmethoden herstellen.
