ASTM A199 / A199M is a standard specification for seamless cold-drawn intermediate alloy-steel tubes used in heat exchangers, condensers, and similar heat transfer apparatus. These tubes are manufactured from chromium-molybdenum and chromium-molybdenum-silicon alloy steels, offering excellent resistance to high temperatures and pressures.

ASTM A199 Heat-exchanger Tube is designed for service temperatures ranging from –100°C to +625°C (-150°F to 1150°F). They are widely used in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, and gas condensers where reliable thermal conductivity and mechanical strength are critical.
