ASTM A789 2205 duplex seamless tube is a standard specification for seamless duplex stainless steel tubes intended for general corrosion-resistant and high-strength applications. Grade 2205 (UNS S32205 / S31803) is the most widely used duplex stainless steel, offering approximately twice the yield strength of common austenitic grades like 304 or 316, combined with excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC), pitting, and crevice corrosion.

These tubes are ideal for heat exchangers, condensers, instrumentation lines, hydraulic lines, and other critical services in oil & gas, chemical processing, marine, and desalination industries.
