2205 duplex roestvrijstalen buisbiedt een uitgebalanceerde combinatie van hoge sterkte en uitstekende corrosieweerstand, waardoor het de voorkeurskeuze is voor industrieën zoals olie en gas, chemische verwerking, scheepsbouw en ontziltingsinstallaties.

Met een duplex microstructuur (ongeveer 50% austeniet + 50% ferriet) biedt 2205 bijna tweemaal de vloeigrens van gewone austenitische roestvaste staalsoorten zoals 304 of 316L, terwijl de goede lasbaarheid en verwerkbaarheid behouden blijven.
